Find out how WeBulk created a benchmark marketplace thanks to Wizaplace

WeBulk
Presentation
WeBulk was the first French B2B marketplace dedicated to bulk products. The platform connected 100% bulk shops with producers and the best French organic brands, making it easier to supply independent grocery shops with bulk and zero-waste products.

The context
WeBulk was positioned as an ordering tool for bulk and organic products for independent and zero-waste grocery shops. The model was based on three principles: zero disposable packaging, zero unnecessary kilometres and zero food waste. WeBulk offered a wide range of dry and liquid food products, as well as non-food products such as cosmetics, detergents, textiles, containers and accessories.
The challenge
WeBulk faced a dual challenge:
- To enable the best French organic brands to raise their profile, connect with independent shops and manage the complex and costly logistics of their business.
- To simplify for grocery shops the management of different producers, single orders and deliveries by producer, while offering free grouped delivery.
The solution
WeBulk chose to work with Wizaplace to create a benchmark marketplace for bulk and zero waste consumption. This semi-closed platform enabled multiple orders to be centralised into a single delivery thanks to a partnership with FM Logistic. WeBulk did not set product prices, but offered a fulfilment solution with free grouped delivery.
Why our solution?
WeBulk chose Wizaplace for a number of reasons:
- A French team on a human scale, enabling constructive and personalised exchanges
- The rapid deployment of the solution: the marketplace was launched in just 4 months
- A competitive price/quality ratio
- Wizaplace’s ability to manage the distribution of payments between sellers
The results
Since its launch, WeBulk has achieved significant results:
- 3000 product references
- 380 sales staff
- 110,000 customer accounts
- 4,500 orders per month
- 150,000 kg of goods dispatched
The collaboration between WeBulk and Wizaplace enabled the deployment of a platform that promoted bulk and zero-waste supplies to grocery shops, while giving visibility to committed organic producers. The project was carried out in several stages: creation of a functional product, testing and analysis of real customer needs, and continuous improvement of the platform’s offering and value proposition.
WeBulk’s mission was to simplify its customers’ lives by offering them the best products from the best brands in one place, at competitive prices and available 24/7. The platform met new customer expectations by enabling shops to buy easily and quickly from a number of committed producers, all in a single order. Unfortunately, although WeBulk worked well at the time, the marketplace has now closed.
