How does the Tap To Pay work?

When cashing out, you select Tap to Pay payment. The application opens already pre-filled with the amount to pay. Your customer brings their payment method (contactless card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) to your smartphone and the transaction is validated.
If the payment is more than €50, a keyboard appears on your screen so that the customer can enter their secret code.

Compliant with the strictest standards in the payments sector, this secure solution allows you to accept all contactless payments: cards, NFC mobile wallets or wearables.

Also called SoftPOS, or TapOnPhone, Tap to Pay is a solution allowing any terminal to accept bank card payments. No more need for a dedicated terminal, Tap to Pay works via a mobile application which is installed on an Android smartphone equipped with NFC functionality. Small structures that could not afford the costs associated with payment terminals can now offer payment by bank card. This encourages the development of mobile purchasing journeys in the store.

What is the Tap To Pay?

Tap to Pay payment allows you to transform any Android Smartphone (or tablet) equipped with NFC into a payment terminal. Thus, your mobile terminal equipped with LM Caisse Retail or LM Caisse Resto allows you to cash a bank card without any additional electronic payment equipment and to finalize the transaction in complete autonomy.
Tap to Pay accepts payments by bank cards:

Contactless without entering the PIN code for an amount less than €50.
Contactless with entry of the PIN code for an amount greater than €50. The PIN code is typed into the seller’s smartphone or tablet.
